Worked Examples
Encodings and arithmetic are checked against the specification. The multiply, fill and triangle programs also pass the C model used by the RISC workbench. They have not been tested on a V2200 board.
| Example | Contents |
|---|---|
| Decode an instruction word | Opcode byte, operand indices, byte order, signed multiply and signed branch offset. |
| Build a DMA list | A transfer command and terminating null link, with exact word values. |
| Fill a scan line | Format, mask and color registers; operand pair; write hazards and completion polling. |
| Set up a triangle | Pixel state, fixed-point coordinates, edge gradients, shadowing and launch order. |
